![]() The Hydro 3 has where pivoting action moves along a circular track. The head pivoted very easily as I was moving it along my face. Head Movement: The pivot point on the Mach 3 is down near the bottom of the cartridge. But that is what I felt after doing a pass with each razor. Though personally, as long as the soap/cream is doing its job I don't think that it should matter. While the Mach 3 you could not feel much if any hydration. It was enough to where you could take your fingers and feel/see gel come off your face in a small string. Personally, I though that the Hydro 3 had a little too much of the hydrating gel. ![]() Hydration: By far without a doubt the Hydro 3 had much more than the Mach 3. But to me they were so close that there is the possibility that they were pretty much the same. Afterwards though, subsequent passes were really smooth with the Hydro I believe being smoother since it has more hydration gel in the hydrating pad.Ĭloseness: At the end of the first pass I felt like maybe the Mach 3 had gotten just ever so slightly closer than the Hydro 3. Smoothness: When they both first touch my skin and cut for the first time, there was barely a slight tug from the Mach 3 and a tug that was mostly the same but slightly more noticeable from the Hydro 3. For my shaving cream I used Old Spice Original with the Omega 10066 Boar Hair brush. So here is how each razor stacks up to one another: I shaved one half of my face with each razor. I just finished doing a shave with the Mach 3 and Hydro 3, so they will be first up. Then Finally for 2 blades I bought the Gillette Sensor 2 and the Schick ST2 disposable razors. I bought the Schick Xtreme 3 disposable razor that I will either pair up with the Gillette Sensor 3 or Sensor 3 simple (which style would you guys recommend?). So I went to my local stores and bought the basic Gillette Mach 3 and Schick Hydro 3 replaceable cartridge razors. These scenarios being where maybe I might be in a rush or I have traveled using a transportation method where I can't bring my DE blades onto the vehicle. But, I recently began thinking of where there might be scenarios where I can not use my trusty DE razors. It has been over a year or more since I have shaved with a cartridge razor. I love shaving with my DE razors and never plan on switching back to using cartridge exclusively. This is my first forum thread here, so forgive me if I possibly have this in the wrong area/section.įirst, a little information about the situation. All of those great capabilities of the Editor are there organized in a way to make them easier to find and use. The Editor tab, shown above, contains all the functions you need when you're editing your file. So here's what the Editor looks like when it is undocked. ![]() The nice thing about contextual tabs is that they go along with the window to which they belong. I like to work with my Editor undocked so I have more room to view my file. If the Editor is docked in the Desktop, those tabs related to the Editor appear next to the global tabs as shown below. When you edit a file, three new tabs appear - the Editor tab, Publish tab, and View tab. Contextual tabs only appear when you're doing certain things in MATLAB. In addition to global tabs, the Toolstrip also has contexual tabs. Contextual TabsĪs we've seen, global tabs are always present regardless of what you are doing in MATLAB. We'll talk more about these three buttons in Part 3 of this series. These are used to get more apps (from the File Exchange), install a new app, or package your own apps for distribution to others. You probably noticed the three buttons on the far left of the tab. I find it much easier to find and use the apps that are most important in my work. The Apps tab is one of my personal favorites because it replaces the old "Start" menu. You simply click on the icon for your favorite app (e.g. The downward facing arrow on the far right brings down the full extent of the apps gallery with many more choices. The Apps tab presents a gallery of apps that you have installed. Some of those applications come from MathWorks - you get them automatically with Toolboxes that you have installed. It is the place you go to run interactive MATLAB applications. The last of the global tabs is the Apps tab, shown below. This is an example of how the toolstrip uses context to direct you to the best options. The gallery is smart, only showing plots that are appropriate for the data that you've selected. The downward facing arrow on the far right brings down the full extent of the plot gallery with many more choices. To create a plot from the gallery, you select the variables in the workspace that you want to plot and then select the type of visualization you want to use for that data. The Plots tab displays a gallery of plots available in MATLAB and any toolboxes that you have installed. The Plots tab, shown below, is where you go to create MATLAB Plots. The Home tab, shown above, is where you go to do general purpose operations like creating new files, importing data, managing your workspace, and setting your Desktop layout. For that reason, they are called global tabs. These three tabs are always there no matter what you are doing in MATLAB. When you open R2012b for the first time, you will notice three tabs - the Home tab, the Plots tab, and the Apps tab. ![]() We'll talk more about that in Part 2 of this series. You may have also noticed the light blue bar in the upper right corner. The File section has controls to do file related operations including creating scripts ( New Script), opening files ( Open), and comparing two files ( Compare). For example, the picture below shows the Home tab with sections for operations on Files, Variables, Code and so forth. The controls are buttons, drop-down menus and other user interface elements that you use to do things in MATLAB. Tabs are divided into sections that contain a series of related controls. The Toolstrip organizes MATLAB functionality in a series of tabs. In this first post, I will focus on the Toolstrip and introduce some important concepts. The Toolstrip reorganizes the Desktop functions found in the menus and toolbars from previous versions of MATLAB. The most notable change is the introduction of the MATLAB Toolstrip. For those who haven't installed R2012b yet, here is a picture of the new Desktop: Next up - Part 2: Customizing the R2012b MATLAB Desktopīy now many of you have downloaded and installed MATLAB R2012b and have noticed some big changes to the appearance and organization of the MATLAB Desktop.Have you discovered any new MATLAB functionality?. ![]() “Must-haves are the tuna tartare, amberjack crudo, octopus ceviche, mushroom tempura, Japanese fried chicken, and kimchee fried rice-it’s impossible for me to leave without ordering it.” And though it’s not open as late as some Spring Mountain spots, Other Mama’s chef and owner Dan Krohmer says that they stay open for special customers, “especially when it’s well-respected hospitality friends who return the courtesy.” “Everything is great at Other Mama and perfect for sharing,” Andelbradt says. “I usually go there by myself, or with a friend who also appreciates the serene environment and the top-quality product.” But if it’s a chef’s night out after a big event, you’ll find Andelbradt with many of the city’s other F&B insiders at Other Mama, which specializes in sushi, cocktails, and insanely fresh oysters just south of Spring Mountain on Durango Road. “The list is compiled from the fish that were brought in for the day’s service, about 18 to 20 selections,” he says. Like many chefs, he’ll head to izakaya Aburiya Raku, which, despite being a fabled go-to on gourmand travel lists and a favorite of Guy Savoy and the late Joel Robuchon, is still hard to find (it's in the Spring Mountain strip mall with its dessert counterpart, Sweets Raku). “Like most people in our industry, I usually roll in around midnight,” says Charlie Palmer, whose Aureole in Mandalay Bay Mandalay Bay closes on weekdays at 10 p.m. Preparing for retirement is not easy, but if you enter your new life phase with eyes wide open, you’re more likely to enjoy a long and happy retirement.ġU.S. The 401(k) catch-up amount is $6,000, for a total employee contribution limit of $24,000. If it’s not, or your anticipated expenses exceed your income even without a trial run, you may have to reduce expenses or work longer, or both.Įven if the numbers look good, it would be wise to keep building your savings. If retirement is approaching soon, try living for six months or more on your anticipated income to determine whether it is realistic. Your projected income and expenses should provide a rough picture of your financial situation in retirement. One study suggests that a 65-year-old couple who retired in 2015 would need $259,000 over their lifetimes to cover Medicare premiums and out-of-pocket health-care expenses, assuming they had only median drug expenses. Don’t forget to factor in a reserve for medical expenses. If you’ve paid off your mortgage and other debt, you may be in a stronger position. You might use 3% or 3.5% in your calculations. Keep in mind that some experts believe a 4% withdrawal rate may be too high to maintain funds over a long retirement. At that rate, the $104,000 median savings described earlier would generate $4,160 per year or $347 per month (assuming no market gains or losses). One simple rule of thumb is to withdraw 4% of your savings each year. It’s more difficult to estimate the amount of income you can expect from your savings this may depend on unpredictable market returns and the length of time you need your savings to last. Add other sources of income, such as a part-time job, if that is in your plans. If you expect a pension, estimate that monthly amount as well. The longer you wait to claim your benefits, from age 62 up to age 70, the higher your monthly benefit will be. You can estimate your monthly Social Security benefit at ssa.gov. You might add details once you get the basics down on paper. As a starting point, create a simple retirement planning worksheet. How can you transition into a happy retirement even if your savings fall short of your goals? The answer may lie in developing a realistic picture of what your retirement will look like, based on your expected resources and expenses. My makeup ritual was time-consuming and costly considering all the products I had to use, even for an "everyday" look. The product comes in various shades to suit your skin tone, although obviously remember to go a few shades lighter than your skin tone. It’s the type of product you can apply in one or two minutes and instantly enhances your appearance for a brighter highlighted look. After applying foundation, I apply the product onto all of the areas you would like to use it (and you can be as messy as you like) and then just blend it in very lightly using my fingers. It really is a versatile product and I would argue that it’s worth the price you pay for it because it looks great and much more natural than any powder highlighter I have tried. You can also use the wand to highlight the top of your cheekbone, down the bridge of your nose, your forehead and around the lips too. I feel like this instantly enhances the shape of my eyebrows and would highly recommend it for this purpose. ![]() The pen brush is perfect for easily gliding the product above and below the brow bone. Once I started using Touche Eclat I realised that it doesn’t actually act as a concealer under the eyes, so if you do have bags under your eyes I’m not too certain whether this would cover it up, but I can only assume you would be better off with a concealer or using it in addition to a concealer. I was so excited to try it out and now that I have one of my own, I’m absolutely in love with it! ![]() However, for my birthday this year I was given this as a present from one of my gorgeous friends. In addition to not being sure whether I needed it, I also saw this as quite a high end product so I never purchased it. First of all I don’t particularly have bags or dark circles under my eyes so I was never driven to buy this product as I thought this was purely for concealing bags under the eyes. There were a few reasons why I had not purchased this. I have known about Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Highlighting Pen for quite a while now and heard good things about it as I’m sure many of you have. ![]() – Click button “Generate Online” – Enter username – Select region – Select resources – Click „Generate” and wait a few minutes. ![]() – That working cheat on all browsers ( Firefox, Opera, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Edge and Safari) – Undetectable, Safe and Effective (100% Guaranteed) Check this – just click on button in post!
